Newsletter List Prices Rising Fastest
Average list prices increased in three major categories between January 2004 and January 2005, with the highest increase -- 2.94% -- in the newsletter lists category, according to the latest Worldata List Price Index. However, the average prices for consumer magazine and business-to-business e-mail lists declined.

The average price for newsletter files increased $5/M to hit $175/M. Similarly, the price for controlled circulation magazine files rose by 2.17% or $3/M increasing the average price to $141/M.

The average price for consumer book buyer files increased by 2.13% to reach nearly $100/M. On the flip side, the average price for e-mail business-to-business files dropped to $280/M, reflecting a $7/M decrease. Consumer magazine list prices declined 2.75% but the average price stayed above $100/M. Donor list prices remained fairly stable as they have for the last three years for a $76/M average price.
