Worldata names Jay Schwedelson President & CEO Schwedelson will continue to guide the strategic direction of the organization
Worldata and the Worldata Group of Companies announced this morning that Jay Schwedelson will become President & CEO of the entire enterprise. In doing so, Jay will be assuming all responsibilities and executive decision making for all aspects of the business. “Direct Marketing has been the core foundation block for all of our endeavors at Worldata and as the interactive parts of our business grow, the principles that have guided our growth have been the same ones that helped found the company,” said Jay Schwedelson upon assuming his responsibilities. “Our organization has evolved in its over three decades of business, it is reinventing itself as we speak, that is the nature of a healthy company.” Schwedelson is a member of the founding family of Worldata, which started on Long Island, NY in 1975 and moved to Florida twenty years ago. He has been with Worldata and some of its sister companies for over fifteen years. During his association, and as a member of the Executive Committee, Schwedelson helped develop and guide the Interactive areas of Worldata. It has been his vision that has melded traditional data warehousing techniques with what Worldata developed as portal entry points worldwide. “Evolving from a traditional simple list organization into a worldwide provider of data management has been a main focus of mine,” said Schwedelson. In his role at Worldata, Jay Schwedelson oversees the strategic direction, operations and new business development of the company. Worldata, today, is one of the major List Management and List Brokerage organizations in the world. Schwedelson currently is head of the DMA’s List Leaders Group representing the entire list industry. Under his leadership, Worldata has become the industry leader in permission Email marketing services and Direct Mail advertising solutions. Schwedelson is a member of the DMEF (Direct Marketing Educational Foundation) board and a previous member of the Internet and List & Database Council Advisory Boards. Among his career achievements, Jay has been repeatedly named to BtoB Magazines “Who’s Who” list, most recently in 2009. A graduate of the University of Florida, Jay sits currently on the University of Florida’s School of Communication Advertising Advisory Board. He is married to Dr. Allison Schwedelson, the father of two children and resides in Boca Raton, Florida.
